UA Local 773 - Organizing

Local 773 was founded in 1919 but it wasn't until 1999 that the full time position of Union Organizer was established. From this time forward, we have grown our signatory contractors year after year. We have 23 newly organized companies of which four are full time service shops bringing our contractor base to 43 signatory contractors. This has also expanded our membership by the addition of 91 new members.

At Local 773, we encourage people from all walks of life to embrace a feeling of honesty, integrity and brotherhood. We believe that through collective bargaining with signatory contractors to achieve rational and peaceful solutions, our goal of unity will be accomplished.

A Voluntary Organizing Committee has enhanced our portability in the marketplace bringing both union and non-union members together striving to become one brother/sisterhood. Now more than ever is the best time to organize and put safety, fair wages, health care benefits, retirement benefits and education in place for now and the future.
