Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has filed a site plan application with the town of Malta for its $4.6 billion computer chip fab planned for the Luther Forest Technology Campus.
Here is a drawing of what the plant is expected to look like. The facility will be 883,000 square feet, with up to 270,000 square feet of clean room space, according to a summary of the site plan.
The facility will be located on 163 acres in the town of Malta and 54 acres in the town of Stillwater.
The project will also have other buildings in addition to the manufacturing building. They all will total 1.3 million square feet of space.
KeyBank N.A. also announced today that Luther Forest Technology Campus Economic Development Corp. has lined up a $25 million line of credit for site preparation.
